Recently, the Kitah Gimmel children have been weaving and embroidering.

Many of the Atelier projects that Kitah Bet-2 has created have involved processes that strengthen their hands and arms.

The Kitah Gimmel children enjoyed working with polymer clay recently. They have also been interested in beading. This week in the atelier, the children were presented with polymer clay in an assortment of colors as well as clay tools.

The Kitah Bet-2 children have been interested in tape and sparkly things. In this most recent experience, the children were each given a half sheet of art paper.

The children of Kitah Daled have been working with thread, wrapping and weaving during their morning classtime. During Enrichment, Morah Jessica recently introduced a complimentary experience.

During this week’s Atelier experience, the Kitah Bet children created paintings using a wheelbarrow. This experience allowed the children to engage their full body in the artmaking. 

During Enrichment, the children have been working with recycled cardboard.

This week the Kitah Bet-1 children were presented with an outdoor painting activity. This experience combined the children’s interest in paint and their love of movement.

Kitah Bet’s most recent Atelier experience combines two of their interests, paint and tape. The children were each given a half sheet of watercolor paper and pieces of masking tape.

During the weeks leading up to Chanukah, Kitah Daled and Kitah Gimmel Enrichment children were offered clay. Morah Jessica first gave the children small balls of Crayola Air Dry Clay.

To support the children’s interests in both painting and cars, Morah Jessica offered the children an outdoor experience which included both.

During the Fall, the Kitah Gimmel children noticed that the fig tree outside of their classroom was losing its leaves.

The children in Kitah Alef have been showing interest in sensory experiences such as painting.

In the Atelier, the children were presented with Magnolia leaves, acrylic paint markers, and pastel crayons.

The Morah’s have observed that the Kitah Bet children are extremely interested in tape and sparkly items. They also quite enjoy sensory play. We wanted to feature these interests in their menorahs.

The Kitah Alef children have been interested in both paint and sensory play. The Morahs wanted to include these interests in their menorah.

The Kitah Daled children are incredibly interested in construction and engineering. They also continue to be interested in recycled materials.

Observing the Kitah Bet children, the Morahs noticed their enthusiasm for painting and droppers, their interest in vehicles, and activities involving physical movement. We wanted to feature these interests in their Menorahs.

The Kitah Gimmel children are extremely interested in plants, animals, sticks, and all things Nature. We wanted to feature this interest when making their menorahs.

The Kitah Daled children are interested in building and constructing. They also enjoy problem solving and using recycled materials.
