Kitah Bet-1 Paints with Bikes and Cars

To support the children’s interests in both painting and cars, Morah Jessica offered the children an outdoor experience which included both.

Morah Jessica laid a large drop cloth on the asphalt on the lower playground. Two posterboards were laid on top. The children chose a vehicle and brought it over to the painting area. Morah Jessica squirted paint onto the posterboard, then instructed the children to either drive or roll their vehicle through the paint.

The colors mixed and blended. Each tire made a different print on the paper. This experience allowed the children to strengthen their gross motor skills while making art.
