Two of the biggest threads of interest in Kitah Bet have been collage and nature. This led us to papermaking!

The children seemed to really enjoy painting the Tile Portrait Table during last class, so Morah Jessica wanted to find a way to incorporate painting with the thread of Self Portraits.

KItah Aleph used forks and combs as paintbrushes for their second large canvas.

Moving into Purim, we wanted to continue the thread of fabric as a medium.

Since Kitah Aleph has enjoyed painting all year, we wanted to include that process in the children’s groggers.

Kitah Daled’s most recent self-portrait experience in the Atelier is a bit different.

First, the children selected a cup and lid. Then they filled it halfway with rice, pebbles, and small bells.

For Purim, each class makes groggers inspired by a strong thread of interest in their classroom.

Kitah Daled students have been beading all year, both in class and during Enrichment.

Kitah Alef children have enjoyed the texture of paint and applying it with a variety of tools. We’ve also been working on gross motor development.

Kitah Bet children have been making a lot of collages this year. They started by cutting and gluing scrap paper. Recently they collected and glued leaves.

The children of Kitah Daled have been preoccupied with ladybugs. They often point them out excitedly when they see them on the playground.
