Kitah Gimmels Fabric Groggers

Moving into Purim,we wanted to continue the thread of fabric as a medium. For the Kitah Gimmel’s groggers Morah Jessica presented fabric scraps, pom-pom beads, felt leaves, fabric flowers, string, yarn, ribbon, buttons, bells, frames, and acrylic markers.

First, the children chose a frame.

Next, they selected a variety of bells, buttons, and fabrics and began stringing their items.

They selected ribbons and fabric scraps in their desired colors, then asked Morah Jessica to help them secure both the strings and fabric to the frame.

Finally, the children created colorful designs on their frames using acrylic markers.

The ribbons dance and the bells and buttons make a lot of noise when shaken.
