Kitah Aleph’s Painted Wood Groggers
Since Kitah Aleph has enjoyed painting all year, we wanted to include that process in the children’s groggers.
The children were presented with a variety of loose wooden parts, large colorful bells, and large cardboard rings.
The children were then offered acrylic paint markers and watercolor paint with droppers to color their wooden pieces.
Once finished, Morah Jessica helped the children string their pieces onto twine and/or wire. The twine was hung from the cardboard rings.
The finished product has a very natural look. The grogger creates a gentle sound similar to bamboo wind chimes when shaken.
