Kitah Alef mixed together sand and shaving cream for their most recent messy, sensory experience in the Atelier.

Due to the summer heat, the children have been offered lots of messy art and water experiences to cool down.

The children of Pre-Kitah Alef have been exploring light and reflections this year. Recently they have been enjoying drawing with markers. These two interests were combined in their most recent art project.

The Kitah Gimmel children continue to be interested in sticks. They are constantly collecting them on the playground. This project was inspired by that interest.

Kitah Alef’s most recent sensory experience in the Atelier is Cloud Dough.The children love Play Dough, so Morah Jessica thought that Cloud Dough would go over well.

The Kitah Gimmel children have been working with recycled materials this year. Recently, the children have been exploring cardboard tools. Morah Jessica offered the children an opportunity for the children to make their own masks.

For Art Class this week, Kitah Daled made their own volcano out of mud.

For the summer, the Kitah Daled children have been enjoying many messy, sensory experiences.

Continuing the thread of messy sensory play, This week the children created a mud ice cream shop.

Kitah Alef’s Messy Summer Art Experiences continue!

During Kitah Daled’s Enrichment time, the children have been sculpting recently.

The themes of nature and fairies continues.

Kitah Bet has been preoccupied with nature this year.

Our first messy art project of the summer was painting with colored mud. Morah Jessica presented them with small bottles of colorful sand and water to mix into colored mud

Continuing their interests in drawing and reflection, this week Morah Jessica offered the Pre-Kitah Alef children two large sheets of cardboard covered with aluminum foil.

The children were offered recycled materials as canvases such as sheets of cardboard and cut-up folders.

The Kitah Gimmel children have exhibited a strong thread of interest in building and sculpture.

Kitah Alef’s interest in sensory play and paint inspired Morah Jessica to offer a “Feet Painting” provocation in the Atelier.

The children were each presented with their own large plexiglass circle and saucers of colored glitter glue in pastel shades.
