Kitah Daled’s Mud Ice Cream Shop
Continuing the thread of messy sensory play, This week the children created a mud ice cream shop.
First the children mixed sand and water together in one of the playground water tables. We used another water table for water beads. These would be used as sprinkles, the children decided.
The children filled plastic cones and bowls with mud, then topped the “ice cream” with shaving cream “whipped cream.” They then dropped water bead “sprinkles” on top. Once the children ran out of cones and plastic bowls, they expanded their operation to the mud kitchen, creating other desserts in the metal pots and pans.
Next, the children began taking orders from the Morahs and Staff that passed by.
