Kitah Bet's Nature Crowns

This week the Kitah Bet children became royalty. They made crowns out of nature!

The children have been preoccupied with sticks and other nature treasures, this year. For this project, Morah Jessica offered the children floral wire, twine, leafy ribbon, fabric flowers and leaves as well as jars of shells, sticks, leaves, small pine cones, feathers, and flower petals.

Morah Jessica measured the children’s heads with the wire, creating head bands for each child. The children chose their favorite items and connected them by wrapping wire around or through the objects, connecting each to the headband.

Each crown was unique and the children proudly paraded back to their class, showing off their handmade adornments.
