Kitah Alef Paints with Colored Mud

Our first messy art project of the summer was painting with colored mud. Morah Jessica presented them with small bottles of colorful sand and water to mix into colored mud

The children were also given small cocktail forks and swizzle sticks to use as mixing and painting tools. The children used different methods of applying their “paint” to paper. Some children splattered the liquid with their stick while others dotted it on the paper. Aiden discovered that he could pinch the mixture and drip it onto his paper. The children also enjoyed scooping the mud and fingerpainting with it.
