Pre-Kitah Alef’s Mobile
The children of Pre-Kitah Alef have been exploring light and reflections this year. Recently they have been enjoying drawing with markers. These two interests were combined in their most recent art project.
The children were each given a CD. They drew on both sides using Sharpie markers, tempera sticks, and glitter glue.
During the next class the children chose wooden and iridescent loose parts, brightly colored yarn, string, and ribbon. Morah Jessica helped them to attach their chosen objects to their CD.
Next, the children decorated a large wooden ring with glitter pens, then Morah tied the CDs around the sides of the ring to create a mobile. This mobile now hangs by Pre-Kitah Alef’s changing table.
