For Pesach, Pre-Kitah Alef created matzah trays. The children were each given a large, square, wooden tray.

For Pesach, the children made mini jeweled wine glasses. These fancy glasses are meant to represent Elijah’s cup.

Kitah Bet created their own matzah trays for Pesach. Each child was given their own large, square, wooden tray.

Kitah Gimmel made Seder plates for Pesach. Each child was given a clear glass dinner plate to decorate with acrylic markers.

For Pesach, Kitah Daled students made pillow. They will use these during the Seder to lean back on.

The children of Kitah Alef made shakers for Purim. Morah Jessica offered the children assorted empty plastic containers with lids.

Some common threads for the Pre-Kitah Alef children this year have been: painting, transparency, and light. The Fun Run Auction project combines these three themes.

The children of Kitah Alef have been very sensory focused. We decided clay was the perfect medium for them to use to create an auction piece.

Much of Kitah Bet’s work in the Atelier this year has been centered around collage and gluing. Following their mosaic menorahs, we decided to create a mosaic table for our Auction piece.

The Kitah Gimmel children have been extremely interested in building and sculpture. Following their metal menorahs, we decided to continue constructing with metal for the auction project to create a pipe lamp.

The Kitah Daled children are storytellers. In every part of their play they are telling a story.

This week’s art exploration combines the children’s interest in paint with the thread of reflection.
