Pre-Kitah Alef’s Illuminated, Painted Window

Some common threads for the Pre-Kitah Alef children this year have been: painting, transparency, and light. The Fun Run Auction project combines these three themes.

Morah Jessica presented the children with an antique window and pastel finger paints in shades of green, white, and beige. The children dipped their fingers into the saucers of paint and mixed the colors as they transferred it to the glass panes.

After the paint dried, the children painted over each pane with Mod Podge to make it permanent.

Sammy sprinkled gold foil on top of the wet Mod Podge for a bit of sparkle, then Robin helped Morah Jessica hang the LED lights on the back of the window to illuminate the glass.
