Pre-Kitah Alef Paints Wood

Each class is making a decoration for our Grandparent’s Day Thanksgiving Celebration.

The Pre-Kitah Alef children were each offered a selection of driftwood, seed pods, mini stumps, and sticks. The children were also given tempera sticks, dot markers, and glitter gel paint in fall colors.

The children first made marks on the wood with the tempera sticks and dotters. They explored the paint’s texture with their fingers. Next they dipped wide paint brushes into the glitter paint then spread it across the object.
