Kitah Daled Enrichment: Nature Scavenger Hunts and Sculptures

Mini Nature Sculptures

Kitah Daled continues to explore nature. This week the children collected small nature treasures like small leaves, tulip poplars, tiny twigs, pieces of bamboo, pecan shells, etc.

Morah Jessica gave the children tooth picks and showed the children how to use them to connect the items.

The children made a variety of different sculptures. Jackson said, “I’m making a super jet!”

Nature Treasure Boxes

The children were given egg cartons to sort and collect nature treasures. They painted them with tempera sticks and even attached pipe cleaner handles.

LEAF Drawings

With all the variety of trees around our neighborhood, we have had so many different shapes and colors of leaves to compare. The children collected a bunch from our playground and Morah Jessica gave them half sheets of paper, markers, and twistee crayons to recreate the leaves on paper.
