Sukkah decorations with KG2

In the Atelier, the Kitah Gimmel-2 children were offered metal loose parts, wire, and rainbow tinsel to create their own sukkah decorations. The children selected bottle caps, chains, shower curtain rings, Erector-Set pieces, keys, metal rings, pop tabs, belt buckles, and tinsel. They strung the pieces together and hung them from a metal ring.

Simchat Torah Flags with KG2

For Simchat Torah, each class makes their own flags to bring home. The Kitah Gimmel-2 children were offered Sharpie markers, fabric markers, rubbing alcohol, and pipettes to use to decorate their flags. Each child was given a rectangle of white fabric. The children then drew all over their fabric with their selected colors. When they finished drawing, the children squirted rubbing alcohol onto the fabric and watched the mark widen and the colors spread. The end result was almost a tie-dyed effect. Sticks will be glued to one side of the fabric for a handle.
