Kitah Gimmel-2 Makes Apple Plates
The Kitah Gimmel-2 children decorated their own plates for Rosh Hashanah. In the Atelier, each child was given a clear glass plate plus apple, shofar, and honey comb stamps. They dipped the stamps in red, yellow, green, brown, and gold acrylic paint and printed the shapes onto the clear glass. The children each made their own patterns and compositions.
Next class, the children were offered acrylic paint markers and Sharpies along with images of bees and apples to use as reference. The children drew bees on their plates and added stems and leaves to their apples. The plates were sealed with Mod Podge for permanence.
