Kitah Daled's Thanksgiving Invitation
Kitah Daled continued the thread of drawing to create their Thanksgiving invitation. The children first collected an assortment of leaves from the playground. The leaves were all shapes and sizes, green, yellow, red, and orange. They then drew and printed the leaves onto white paper, using the same colors of crayons, colored pencils, and tempera paint.
The children cut out their leaves, once dry. Each child wrote their name to add to the card, and one child wrote the word “Fall".
Next, the children painted sheets of cardstock with bright orange paint.
For the final step, the orange painted paper is attached to one side of a sheet of poster board using glue dots and double-sided tape. The word “Fall” is attached to the top, left of the poster board. Names are glued in two rows on top of the orange paper. The children arrange the leaves into a collage on the opposite side of the poster board.
