Kitah Daled Makes Leaf Bugs

For Kitah Daled’s Thanksgiving card, we wanted to make something with Fall foliage. Morah Jessica presented the children with an assortment of fallen leaves in red, orange, yellow, green, and brown.

The children each chose a leaf and glued it to a square of cardboard. Next, the children added googly eyes to their leaf. The children drew antennae, legs, mouths, and other details using permanent markers.

Next, each child named their bug and gave a description of their likes, dislikes, and any special abilities. Morah Jessica wrote this information down onto rectangular white labels. The children each wrote their name and their bug’s name on the label.

Abie volunteered to write the title sign for the project.
