Kitah Bet 1’s Challah Covers

The Kitah Bet-1 class decorated challah covers for their Friday Night Dinner, take home project. In the Atelier, each child was given a cotton napkin. The children drew on the cloth with fabric crayons and fabric markers.

Many of the children enjoyed taking the caps on and off the markers. One group of children began energetically tapping their markers in unison to make dots on their napkins.

After the children were finished with their drawings, Morah Jessica helped them to use a heat gun to go over their crayon marks. This helped melt the wax and bring out a more vibrant hue.
