Clay Bud Vases by Kitah Daled
Kitah Daled children are very interested in sculpting and building. For the Friday Night Dinner, the children were presented with Crayola Air Dry Clay to sculpt their own bud vases.
First, the children flattened the clay with rollers, then they wrapped it around a plastic test tube. Morah Jessica told them that the vase needed to be flat on the bottom so it could stand up. The children began adding details to their vase using clay tools. Tali added petals to the bottom of her vase. Ezra stamped circles into his vase.
Once the clay was dry, the children painted their vases with brightly colored acrylic paint. Next, the clay was coated in Mod Podge.
Finally, the children each selected a flower for their vase.
