Kitah Daled’s Challah Covers

For Rosh Hashanah, the children made challah covers. In the Atelier, the children were each given a cloth napkin to decorate. The children then used apple stamps and acrylic paint in red, green, and yellow to print on the fabric. 

Once dry, the children used paint markers and Sharpie markers to draw on the cloth. Some children added bees in the empty spaces while others gave their apples stems and leaves. Zeke drew dotted lines on his fabric. He said, “This is where the bee flew.” Addison drew curly black lines coming out of her apples. “Those are the stems,” she said.
