Kitah Daled Builds with Cardboard

This week Morah Jessica presented the children with cardboard scraps, duct tape, tacky glue and scissors

This provocation continues the children’s interest in building. Previously during Enrichment the children built structures and ramps to use with cars.

This experience is open-ended. The children can let the materials inspire them.

Along with cardboard scraps, the children also used drink caddies, tape rings of various sizes, egg cartons, and cardboard tubes as building materials. They occasionally asked Morah Jessica for help cutting the cardboard with her X-acto knife when they were unable to with scissors.

The following week, the children begin to add color to their creations using paint markers and acrylic paint.
