Ping-Pong Painting with Kitah Alef
This week the children were presented with cardboard boxes with sheets of cardstock inside. The children were given ping-pong balls and fly swatters to use as rackets. Morah Jessica squeezed blue, yellow, pink, and silver paint onto the papers. The children set their balls down in front of the boxes and used their rackets to hit the balls into the box, streaking the paint across the paper.
This activity helped the children build their dexterity and arm muscles. They would occasionally have to chase their ball when it rolled away, missing the goal. They would try moving it closer to the box and usually achieved success afterwards.
