Kitah Bet 2 Makes Apple Trays

For Rosh Hashanah, the Kitah Bet children painted apple trays.

In the Atelier, the children were each given a large, hexagonal sheet of wood. They were presented with yellow and gold gel paint and honey comb stamps to decorate their trays.

The children stamped the shapes onto the wood, trading colors and tools as they worked. Some children stamped a few shapes then said, β€œAll done.” Others wanted to cover their entire panel with paint. Once the children finished painting, they sprinkled gold foil flakes and mica glitter over the wet paint.

Once dry, the trays were coated with Mod Podge to preserve the designs.
