Kitah Bet Menorahs
The children of Kitah Bet have been exploring different types of art which strengthen their fine motor skills and the muscles in their hands. Recently the children made tape paintings with water colors. We used this experience as inspiration for their menorahs.
First, the children were handed pieces of masking tape to stick on a long, rectangular tile.
They arranged the tape in various designs across their tile then painted it with iridescent tempera paint in bright shades of blue, green, and purple.
They sprinkled bright shades of shell-paper glitter across the tile once they had finished painting.
Once dry, the tape was removed leaving an arrangement of bright, geometric shapes.
The tiles were coated in a thick, protective layer of Mod Podge and the hex nuts were glued down the center of the tile using Weldbond glue.
