Salt Dishes by Kitah Bet-2

For Pesach the children created their own salt dishes out of clay. In the Atelier, the children were each given a ball of air dry clay. First, they used rollers to flatten their clay into a round disc. Next, they began to pull and pinch it into a bowl.

Once the clay was dry, the children painted their bowls using jewel-toned acrylic paint. The bowls were then coated with Mod Podge. Since these bowls are more decorative, each one comes with a glass that has been dipped in the mikvah to be used for salt water.
