Kitah-Bet-1 Makes Seder Trays

The children each created their own Seder trays for Pesach. In the Atelier, they were given the same acrylic flow paints that they used for their auction canvas. During their first Atelier session, the children squeezed the paint onto their trays, then shook the tray to make the paint drip.

Next class, the children dipped swizzle sticks into cups of Acrylic paint mixed with Mod Podge, and drizzled the paint over their tray.

The final step was stamping the Seder foods onto the tray. The children dipped stamps made by Morah Mushky into black acrylic paint. They then stamped each food into the correct place on their tray. Once dry, the trays were coated in Mod Podge. This project continued the threads of gross motor art and drip painting.
