“Thank You Mr. Panda" Collage By Kitah Alef

One of the Kitah Alef children’s favorite books is “Thank You Mr. Panda.” In this story the panda gives each of his friends a gift wrapped in this colorful wrapping paper. During art class, the children were offered a provocation with a variety of wrapping paper scraps, school glue, paint brushes, and a canvas. First the children tore the wrapping paper into smaller pieces.

Next, they painted the canvas with school glue, then placed the scraps onto the wet glue. For a finishing touch, the children glued a few different colored ribbons on top of the wrapping paper collage.
