Kitah Alef-Balloon Printing

Kitah Alef have been exploring a variety of gross motor painting experiences. This week they were offered a sheet of cardboard as a canvas and saucers of blue, green, purple, white, and silver tempera paint. The children dipped balloons into the paint and printed them onto the sheet of cardboard.

They rolled the balloons in a circular motion. Some children simply dabbed them onto the cardboard or dragged them across the sheet in streaks of color. Many children enjoyed the messy art experience, but some announced that they were “all done” after their hands had become coated in paint.
