Stamping with Cardboard Tubes in Kitah Alef

This week’s gross motor art activity in Kitah Alef, was a group effort. In the Atelier, the children worked together to make a mural covered in circles.

The children dipped cardboard tubes of varying sizes into pastel tempera paint in lilac, mint green, light blue, and gray. They stamped the tubes all over the poster board, alternating paint colors and tubes as they worked.

“Painting.”-Emet

“Have this at home.”-Benny

This project grew out of the children’s interests in painting and dots. Morah Jessica also wanted to provide experiences that promote muscle engagement and growth.

They finished off the piece with a sprinkle of fine, iridescent glitter.
