Kitah Daled Enrichment's Recycled Plants

On Ladies’ Day this year, the families made plants out of recycled materials.

We added these to our Art Garden in front of the school when we were finished.

There were many materials leftover, so Morah Jessica offered the materials to Kitah Daled during Enrichment.

There were soda and seltzer bottles, lids and caps, broken toys, skewers, springs, plastic test tubes, floppy disk pieces, knitting needles, and soda tabs.

The children assembled these materials together using wire, and duct tape.

They decorated their creations with paint markers and washi tape.

As the children continued working with these materials, they wanted to build things other than plants.

We had several pieces of styrofoam leftover from another project.

They incorporated these into their creations as well.

Some children used the blocks as a base for their builds.

One child stacked some of the blocks together and secured them with duct tape.

Some children discovered that the material was soft enough to pierce with skewers and wire.

Kitah Daled was prolific with their recycled creations.

We were able to add many more to the Art Garden.

It has even expanded to the landscape around the driveway!
