Pointillism with Kitah Alef

Dot Painting with Sticks

Kitah Alef children continue to work with paint. They explore new ways of applying it, new tools, and new marks they can make.

This week the children use sticks to make dots on their paper. They are shown images of famous Pointillism paintings as they work.

They cover a black half-sheet of paper with purple, blue, white, and black dots.

Dot Painting with Straws

Kitah Alef children continue to create art with dots. This week they used straws as their tool.

The children dipped straws into blue, purple, black, and white paint then dotted it onto a half sheet of watercolor paper.

The children appeared to enjoy this activity. Many exclaimed “Dot, dot, dot!” as the applied the paint to their paper.
