Sharpies on a Shower Curtain with Pre-Kitah Alef
Pre-Kitah Alef children have been interested in drawing recently. Noticing this, Morah Jessica offered them another drawing opportunity in the Atelier. The children were presented with a clear, plastic shower curtain and an assortment of Sharpie markers.
The children selected colors that appealed to them and made squiggle marks and swooping lines on the plastic. A couple children became focused on the marker lid and how it could be taken on and off.
This experience incorporates the children’s interests in light and transparency.
The clear material will be hung in Pre-Kitah Alef as a part of the Siyum night display. The children will be able to look through their art work and illuminate it.
