Kitah Bet Collages with Leaves in the Atelier
The children of Kitah Bet continue the thread of collaging in this experience.
First, the children collected an assortment of leaves from the playground.
Then they chose leaves to glue to brown cardstock. They dabbed glue onto the paper first, then attached a leaf on top. They did this until most of the paper was covered. This repeated action and pincer grip helps children strengthen their fine motor skills.
Next class, the children painted over their leaf composition with shimmering green, yellow, blue, and gray paint in pastel shades. They each added a sprinkle of glitter for a finishing touch.
