Kitah Daled Builds Tile Habitats for Clay Creatures

The children have been sculpting tons of clay people and animals out of polymer clay. In order to extend the exploration, Morah Jessica offered the children materials to build a habitat for their creatures.

The children were each given a large sheet of cardboard to build on.

Then they chose from a variety of tiles in different shapes and sizes.

Victoria wanted to build a castle for her creatures.

Jules built a porch. Rosie decided to build a garden for her creations. The children added beds, chairs, and tables for their homes by gluing small wood pieces.

During the last class, the children used paint markers, glitter glue, and gems to decorate the buildings. Once they dried, the children were able to take the buildings plus their clay creatures home as a homemade playset.
