KD Makes Shrinky Dink Jewelry

All year the children have enjoyed beading and making jewelry.

Morah Jessica offered the children Shrinky Dinks so they could make pendants to add to their beaded jewelry.

The children were each offered Shrinky Dink sheets cut down to about

 3’’x5’’. The children drew their own designs onto the sheets using Sharpie markers. 

Then they cut out the design and added a hole for beading.

Morah Jessica baked the pendants for 2 minutes at 325 degrees. The designs each shrunk to about 2’’ in height.

The children strung their pendants onto either elastic string or wire with assorted beads. They created bracelets and necklaces.
