KD-Rosh Hashanah Cards
In preparation for Rosh Hashanah, Kitah Daled made cards featuring pomegranates.
The children were shown photographs of pomegranates growing on a tree, cut open, and a fresh fruit was also placed in the center of the table.
The children were offered markers, pencils, and pens in shades red to pink to create a still life of the fruit.
They drew the round shape and the small, round shapes inside, They added the crown-shaped stem on top. After coloring everything, the children were offered red sequins to glue onto their card, representing the seeds.
Next, the children wrote Shana Tova on their cards. They each chose whether to write it in English or Hebrew. Some children chose to write it themselves and others asked Morah to write it first so they could trace it.
