Kitah Bet Paints with Balls

This week Kitah Bet used balls to make art! This continues the thread of Gross-Motor Art experiences.

Morah Jessica set up a sheet of white mural paper on the stage of the lower playground. The children were offered a variety of balls in different sizes and textures. The children chose a color of paint to dip the ball in, and rolled the ball down/across the roll paper.

The children rolled the balls to each other, leaving different marks like streaks and dots in red, blue, and purple paint.

Some children enjoyed feeling the paint on their hands, others not so much.

Sensory experiences like this strengthen the children’s muscles and help increase gross motor development.
