Kitah Bet-1 Make Graggers
For Purim, Morah Mushky had the idea to make Search and Find bottles to double as their graggers. First, the children were offered three trays of rice. Each tray had a different color dye added to it. The children used large spoons for mixing the rice. The children traded trays so they could take turns mixing all the colors.
Next class the children were each given a tall, clear bottle to scoop the colored rice into. After the bottles were filled halfway, the children sprinkled glitter flakes atop the rice.
Following this, the children were offered colorful acrylic jewels and sequins to glue onto the lids of their bottles. They used individual bottles of Mod Podge and paint brushes to adhere the jewels.
After this, Morah Ellyn and Morah Mushky printed the photos of every child and Morah in the class and adhered them to small, wooden squares. These were added to each bottle along with a tag featuring the images to find.
