Kitah Alef Menorahs in the Atelier
Fine Motor development has been a strong focus in the Atelier with Kitah Alef children. They have also shown a strong interest in paint.
Morah Jessica offered the children acrylic inks and droppers to paint their menorah tiles. They dripped the brightly colored ink onto the cracked porcelain surface.
The children used swizzle sticks and small plastic forks to mix and streak the ink across the tile.
Last, they sprinkled gold foil flakes and shell paper glitter onto their tile.
Morah Jessica glued hex nuts down the center for candle holders and coated the painting with Mod Podge for permanence.
