Recently, during Art class, the Kitah Alef children were presented with chalk and water. Outside, the children chose from a variety of colors of chalk, paintbrushes, and cups of water.
On the ground, the children dipped their chalk in the cups of water color on the ground with the vibrant chalk paint. They also experimented with drawing on top of wet areas of asphalt.
Next, the children were given spray bottles. First the children drew on the railing, then Morah Jessica showed the children how to spray the water on top of the dry chalk. They used their paintbrushes to spread the paint. The children enjoyed watching the wet color run down the posts.
