KD Enrichment Builds Roads and Ramps
The Kitah Daled children have been extremely interested in both building and cars.
They often enjoy building structures for their cars to drive over and through. During Enrichment, the children were offered cardboard boxes, styrofoam, and duct tape to build with.
The children created their own buildings, ramps, and bridges.
Some, they could even crawl through.
These structures were not very durable and began to fall apart over time.
Morah Jessica offered the children wood to create something more substantial.
The children immediately began assembling their assorted pieces into different arrangements.
Some of the children wore protective gear. They sanded some of the scrap wood, then used tools to attach pieces together (with Morah’s help.)
Some structures required wood glue instead of nails and screws.
Once the children had each made their own structures, they began testing them with matchbox cars. They even decided to attach some of their structures together.
