Kitah Gimmel's Simchat Torah Flags

For Simchat Torah, the children made their own flags. They were each presented with their own rectangular piece of muslin, torah stencils, sponges, and brightly colored acrylic paint.

The children alternated between the colors, trading paint with each other. Once they finished filling in the lines of their stencil, Morah helped them to carefully remove it. The children then chose from a variety of glitters to sprinkle over the wet paint. Once the fabric was dry, Morah Jessica glued wooden dowels onto each of the sheets of fabric using hot glue.
