Kittah Gimmel’s Recycled Robots

The Kitah Gimmel children have been so interested in building, sculpture, and problem-solving this year.

To support these interests, they were offered a variety of recycled materials, googly-eyes, duct tape, tacky glue, and hot glue in the Atelier.

The children were encouraged to build some sort of creature with these materials.

Some popular items were large lids, cardboard tubes, metal strips from an old Erector Set, and broken toys.

The children selected their items then arranged them into their desired structure.

Next, the children either adhered their items with Tacky Glue, duct tape, or hot glue (with Morah’s help.) They added googly eyes as a finishing touch.
