Kitah Alef Makes Cloud Dough

Kitah Alef’s most recent sensory experience in the Atelier is Cloud Dough.The children love Play Dough, so Morah Jessica thought that Cloud Dough would go over well. 

The children scooped the conditioner into a large plastic tub. Next, a child added food coloring. Together, the children mixed the ingredients. The children added cornstarch to the bin. 

Last class the children used cornstarch to make Oobleck. They recognized the chalky powder and commented on the texture as they kneaded the mixture with their hands.

The children split into three small groups for this activity. One group made green , one made blue, and the last made pink Cloud Dough. The children were excited to learn that they would be able to play with it in their classroom.
