Kitah Alef Paints with Their Feet

Kitah Alef is continuing with Gross Motor Art experiences this summer. The first offering was Swing Painting!

The children laid on the swing on their stomachs over a sheet of cardboard. Morah Jessica squirted Tempera paint onto the cardboard in shades of pink, orange, yellow, and gold.

The children began swinging back and forth, swiping their feet through the paint. They would ask for “More, more” paint.

Sometimes they wanted a push. A few children just stood on the cardboard and held onto the swing, just walking through the paint.

Some children commented that the paint felt “soft” or “weird” on their feet. Overall there were lots of smiles and squeals of joy.

More messy art coming soon!
