Getting involved is a great way to meet other IJP families, to engage in your child’s learning experience, to support our wonderful Morahs and to be part of what makes IJP great!
Our 2016 – 2017 calendar is packed with events that will be fun and enriching for the entire family.
IJP PTO Social Events
IJP Parent Social – September 17
An evening for IJP Parents to socialize and connect, without kiddos! Opportunities: planning, set-up and clean-up.
Yard Day – November 6
This is arguably our most fun volunteer day. Spruce up our play space, build new structures, fix existing structures, garden, etc. Snacks and lunch provided. Opportunities: Develop ideas, plan and prep, purchase supplies, snack/lunch prep, gardening, clean up.
Family Shabbat Dinner – November 11
School-wide family Shabbat dinner! We will all share in the Shabbat meal, kiddos will have playtime and adults can participate in our Shabbat customs. Opportunities: planning, purchase supplies, set-up and clean up.
Grandparents/Special Person Day Thanksgiving Celebration – November 16
Grandparents or special friends visit school, participate in a classroom activity, share a school-wide meal and sing songs. Opportunities: Planning, shopping, décor, food prep, greeter, set-up and clean up.
Channukah Party – December 16
This is a fun evening celebration at school. We share in a meal, have latkes and light the menorahs that each child will make in class. Opportunities: planning, purchase supplies, set-up and clean up.
Dads and Donuts – January 18
Celebrate our dads! Our IJP Administration and Morahs take care of this one! Enjoy!
Tu B’shvat Party – February 5
This is a community-wide celebration at school. Opportunities: planning, purchase supplies, set-up and clean up.
Purim – March 12
This is a fun, school-wide celebration. Opportunities: planning, purchase supplies, set-up and clean up.
The BIG Event – March 19
Our annual, amazing fundraiser! Opportunities: Plan, design, shop, food prep, décor, set-up or clean up! We spend several months working towards this event.
Mothers Day – May 12
Celebrate our mom’s! Our IJP Administration and Morahs take care of this one! Enjoy!
Graduation/End of Year – May 24
Celebrate the graduation of our KDH class and look back on another wonderful year at IJP. Opportunities: planning, purchase supplies, set-up and clean up.
Social Events (Chairs: Suzanne, Margaret and Dianne)
Throughout the school year there will be two Mom and Dad night outs, family social events, a mitzvah day, and community-wide play dates that the social committee will organize. Opportunities: Plan, organize, set-up and clean up!
